Hope for a Red Sox vs Cardinals World Series!!

Posted on 10/20/2004 8:16:02 PM PDT by KoRn

A Red Sox vs Cardinals World Series will put sKerry's Team against the Mid West Region. It may seem silly, but things like this can make a big difference. Especially if the Red Sox win.

Kerry would probably root for the Cards because he's already going to win New England.

What? No Red Sox v. Astros to keep in the election spirit?

Hope for a Red Sox - Astros series so some Texas men can beat some Boston boys, just like things will be on Nov. 2.

Rooting for the Sox but I DO NOT want to see Kerry throwing out a 1st pitch in a World Series Game!

I hope so, too (though I have nothing against the Cards).

Don't like the Cards, so I can't...

Interesting aside, there's a rumor flying around State College, PA that W will be attending the PSU/Iowa football game Saturday at noon.

Probably just a rumor, but it's out there.

Rooting for the Cards as a dejected Yankee fan.

That's probably the best outcome from a political standpoint, as there are probably more Cardinal fans outside of MO than there are Astros fans outside of TX. As a Texan, I'd still like to see the Astros make it and have Clemens get another WS win.

Does there really need to be?

If Kerry says he is rooting for the Cardinals then Bush will massacre him with another flip flop, this one being one of the worst ever as he is from the Boston area.

If Kerry says that he wants the Red Sox to win, he might risk alienating a few voters if the series turns ugly....

I actually rooted for the Red Sox before I wanted the Cardinals to win.

Sorry I'm a newb. I think the Astros vs Red Sox would be Bush v Kerry. Nothing to gain there either way. However, Kerry's team vs Cardinals would be negative for Kerry against the Mid Western States. This may seem trivial, but could make a minor difference (which could be enough). The Cardinals are loved throughout the Mid West, a Red Sox victory against them could cause a negetaive attitude against all things New England in 4 or 5 states in the Mid West!!

I rooted for them, before I rooted against them. But, I have a PLAN to rethrow a pitch to home plate at the first game of the World Series, unless Haliburton makes the wind blow out from home plate and they hire a friggin war hero to catch my pitch. I can and I will win the World Series regardless of which team the UN pays off.

How do my eye's look?

A Red Sox vs. Redbirds Series may be a portend for the Red State candidate this year...
