I just heard O'Reilly's talking points, and he was sort of slamming Kerry for not appearing on his show. It was the only time I've ever heard him speak about Kerry in a negative tone.
He also led with Bush's good poll numbers, and he's also doing a segment on the impact the Swiftvets have had on Kerry. It might be a hit piece, but until recently, O'Reilly wouldn't go near the Swiftvet issue unless he was forced to, but now, he's choosing to do a segment.
I'm wondering if he's realizing that he's been driving away his Conservative base, and is doing an about face.
I've noticed a shift the last couple of weeks as well. He's not infuriatiing me the way he did all year.
He realizes he NEEDS us - especially now.
He is totally supporting Bush and I noticed this too!
If he was smart he would continue. Maybe he fears his drop in the ratings.
O'Reilly is a shameless scumbag.
He's on the run because of the scandal, and is hoping to sucker conservatives into rallying to his support. F' him. Send him to CNN where he can argue with Carville all day long.
I think O'Reilly could really use a friend or two these days and is probably looking to "dance with them whut brung him."
Once he realized Kerry wasn't coming on his show, he could stop sucking up.
Short of calling an end to his war on SUVs and "assault" weapons there's not much the guy can do to get on my good side.
I've noticed his change of tone also..kissing up to Ann Coulter last week etc. But I've no faith in his core anymore- I stuck with Bill for a long, long time- I've heard too much this year to trust him. I believe he's not unlike Kerry- little real character.
If thats his game it is a day late and a dollar short in my opinion.
Good point. That's what I'm thinking too.
;-)
Pleeeeeeaaaase! Enough bill o'blowme... Let him drift off to oblivion with al gore. Please!
i'm still not watching his show...
His chances of a network chair went a-glimmerin' so he's back on the boat.
Never get out of the boat, man.
O'Reilly just wants to back the winner (Bush).
Exactly, Kerry's time is up, He shunned Bill O and now it's payback time. He has made some recent comments on this it think.
