First, this is a SERIES and HUGE thread. (G) How it came about? On an earlier thread I'd posted, about Bill Clinton's recovery, "Tragically Single" posted a reply. I didn't recognise his handle, and the name is intriguing, so I clicked on his home page. Was surprised to learn that it came from the fact that his active-duty separation from his wife, while on duty in Bosnia, led to the break-up of his marriage. We exchanged a few freep-mails about Clinton's situation, then I jokingly mentioned that there are many

I always sort of wondered why there wasn't a Freeper match! Seems logical.
I'm sure there are a lot of us single gals (and guys) on Free Republic. Although, I must say that I would probably hide out for several days if anyone posted this thread for me!!
BTW, Tragic does have a pretty adorable kid!! (thanks for posting her pic!!)

I think you would get the spring back in your heart, with a little bit of genuine feminine friendliness.
Ken, something HAS to be done! ;-D I have a feeling there are some real matches here on FR....with all these people posting in pajamas, there HAVE to be! LOL!
At the very least, to be interested is to be alive...yearning for love is a GOOD thing...
If, God forbid, I am ever single, I am going to publish a vanity to attract any smart, conservative, independent man I can, complete with my photos! I urge you ladies and gentlemen to do the same, right here!
You never know what happiness could be just around the corner....

Wow... I'm honored. I feel like the guest of honor at some fancy dinner or something. I've never had a thread for me before! :)
At any rate, thanks, Ken, for starting the thread, and you're kinda right - it's not something I would have ever done on my own.
Free Republic ROCKS!

This will be a test case to see if JR will change your freepname. Could be changed to tragically engaged or tragically married. You do want people to recognise you are the same person.

What really led to the breakup of the marriage was her getting a boyfriend while I was on duty in Bosnia, not the difficulty of separation per se lol......
