FOX(NY) showing Kerry commercial or is it
Posted on 10/17/2004 2:50:13 PM PDT by italianquaker
Just emailed fox and asked them why are they showing a Kerry catholic commercial during the playoffs that does not have Kerry DNC team message. Therefore is Fox supporting the President without telling its viewers, will there be equal access for the Presidental. Has anybody else seen this or am i overreacting.

Um, yes, I think you're overreacting. Broadcast networks ought not be in the business of censoring commercial buys to suit our political taste. If we want them to play all the pro-Bush commercials, whether they are from the GWB campaign, the RNC, or from independent 527s, we're just going to have to accept that they do the same for Kerry's.

Houston talk radio is all over this today. It was a 30 second commercial for Kerry presented as a get out the vote infomercial. They ran it on Sunday, too, during the baseball game.
What's up with this? There's no counterbalancing Bush commercial.

It was not a commercial paid for by Kerry or a 527 group. It was free ad made and run by Fox.
