If Kerry should win, God forbid...

If Kerry should win, God forbid. I plan on hanging my U.S. flag upside down to announce the distress of the state of this country.

Yes, but part of the point was that we can't claim that we are victims if Kerry wins. It will be our own fault (as a nation).

lols I had a old lady Baptist customer when the Clinton impeachment hearings were taking place. I had a trainee outside running a machine so I was in a hurry to get out and as I passed by she pointed to the tv and said well what do you think. I just flippantly said Acts 1:20 and walked out the door. I remember her Bible was on her tv tray, she must have been 70 years old.
About 2 minutes late she came out of her house literally HOPPING mad and threw my out told me to never come back. I told the trainee, "well she asked my opinion" rofl

I didn't think that was being disrespectful (hanging a flag upside down). I thought it was a distress signal.

Hanging the American flag upside down is synonymous with saying "down with the USA"!

That's why only leftist American hating libs do it.

If we have a modern day Benedict Arnold elected President, we are in a state of distress. The International symbol of distress is to hang your flag upside down. This is not a protest, this is a STATEMENT loud and clear that the government has been hoodwinked by a traitorous creep that should not be a senator let alone the President of the U.S.

That was my take on it. It's just that some of us are saying that hanging the flag upside down is a sign of disrespect, and some are saying that it's a distress signal.

I'm trying to figure out which it is. Guess I'll go looking..

YES, YOU GOT THE IDEA. EVERYONE IT IS A SIGN OF DISTRESS, IT IS NOT WE ARE VICTIMS. WE ARE IN A STATE OF DISTRESS IF A BENEDICT ARNOLD (MODERN DAY) IS ELECTED COMMANDER IN CHIEF.

If Kerry wins (heavens forbid) those of use South and west of Washington DC will separate and form our own country. Of course we will exclude everything west of San Bernardino in California.

Found it in the United States Flag Code under §176. Respect for flag:

(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.

I don't think electing a bad president would count as "extreme danger to life or property", even if we think it might lead to it.

If sKerry is elected, it is probable that the "Constitutional Militia's" will resurrect and become the fodder for the left-wing talk machine. Survival groups will jump up and the "misery index" will become more prevelent. As sKerry struggles to develop a "legacy" (sound familiar?), his failures will manifest in "special interests" (racial, gay, what-have-you) - going ballistic with demonstrations that eventually turn violent. sKerry could very well be the catalyst for the meltdown of American society.

Is this a prediction? Gawd no... I hope and pray it isn't.

But, the facts are pretty clear. sKerry is trying to be all things to all losers (demolibs). He WILL have to disappoint someone (or two, or three....) His rather large and extreme ego won't let him accept criticisms. He will lash out at whatever media deigns to criticize him. THAT in turn will alienate him from some parts of society rthat will, in turn generate crticisms, which will cause sKerry (or the dragonlady, TayRaZa) to lash out. This will be a downward spiral in steady decent. sKerry and his "plans" will cause more havoc and unrest than any person in government, in history.

This is my own view and impression, based on a careful analysis of past events, sKerry's own words, and discussions with a variety of friends from both ends of the political spectrum.

This is not just my normal meanderings from my pea-sized brain, it is a deep-rooted fear that my country is in extreme danger. Flame me if you feel inclined, or, Admin-Mods, delete this post as too inflamatory if you feel so inclined.

For me, it has been very therapeutic to put in "print" the thoughts that have been running riot in the back of my mind..

I now return you to your regularly scheduled threads and troll hunts.

That's what liberals do.

What liberals do is never stop fighting. They monopolize the national agenda by portraying themselves as victims, they use less than 10% of any reality and advance it as the truth of the majority. How many articles on the pages of the NY Times or Washington Post must we read about how hated Bush is while the Swift Boat Vets truths are called lies? Why is a dip in Bush's approval rating used to promote Kerry, a man who doesn't get the approval ratings of the President?

If Kerry should win, I will not be silent.

I think the proper response to a Kerry victory *shudder*, is to get republican congressmen and women elected.

We do have to keep a bit level-headed. The president only does so much. Congress and the Courts are supposed to act as checks and balances to the Executive Branch (I think that's right).

Bottom line, I think that if we survived as a country with Clinton at the helm, we can manage with Kerry...if we absolutely have to.

It is a sign of distress. Unfortunately, few will understand that....they will see it as an unpatriotic thing.

Find another way to express your distress. Put up an Uncle Sam crying or something.

I want to believe that. I really do. You see, Bubba had the Hidebeest to keep him somewhat in check... sKerry has.....no-one!... This guy keeps his own counsel. I personally feel that he is worse than Bubba by a factor of 10.

Well, we have darn near a split in congress right now. I don't think Kerry could leverage that to get any extreme ideas passed.

Remember the response to Clinton's election? Republicans gained a majority in Congress and they actually got stuff done.

It's kinda funny. I started these posts on a depressing note, and now I think I'm cheering myself up!

I doubt he will win. But as a private pilot I have learned you must always have a contingency plan. Playing "what if" a lot in your head can save your life. If he wins. I say mourn for a few days, and move on. Never give in. Never stop fighting. Get right back in their faces as soon as possible. Always try to figure out better ways to get the conservative message out. The political pendulum is always swinging. I do not base my happiness in life by who is in the white house.

WE ARE TOUGH. We took 8 years of Slick Willy. 4 years of this Kerry chump we can do standing on our heads if necessary. Republicans are fighters. Republicans will always be a huge political force to contend with for ANY democrat in the white house. I know sometimes it seems like 3 steps forward two back. But we must never stop. We must endeavour to perservere no matter what comes our way. That is what character is all about. These things can take decades to play out. I believe in conservatism to prevail in the long run. For every Clinton we must endure. We get a Reagan. Its a lifelong commitment. So many good people and genuine heros are conservatives. All of us owe them to keep the fight up no matter what.
