In the past few weeks we've been inundated with a mass of conspiracy theories, hand-wringing doom sayers, and vanity after vanity.
It's getting more and more discouraging to read here which I suppose is what a lot of these posters are attempting to accomplish.
Conspiracy theories are fun!
yep, been here since around the beginning of September-ish
You did much better at DU than I did. I was banned after my first post.
It's getting colder. The kooks are staying indoors more.
hand-wringing doom sayers,
It's near the election. Some people are panicking. Most remain resolute in their optimism though. So chin up!
and vanity after vanity.
We got a load of new folk following FR's most recent 15 minutes of fame when Buckhead took on CBS's rubbish and exposed them for the frauds they are. That's all.
Don't worry...after the election is sussed out, things will go back to normal.
LoL
The key to increasing one's wisdom is to work out whether something is true or not. Much of what passes as "fact" in the mainstream press is not fact at all. The more objective pieces of the divine jigsaw puzzle one collects the easier it is to understand what is actually going on. As a "Clearing House of Truth" Freerepublic is the best resource available on the internet in the world as at this time.
There are some embedded trolls here that post only bad news, the same ones over and over. Most do it under the guise of providing news about GIs in Iraq. Some of them get their jollies showing photos of GIs in pain right after an attack. One particular creep must spend all day at the Reuter's site getting off.
It's like dealing with an outlier of the MSM. Their goal is to discourage GOP turnout at the polls.
Yeah, back then we were reading how Klinton was going to cancel the election in order to stay in power. Pretty much the same thing the Dems are saying now.
Human nature, I suppose.
Depends on what you agree or disagree about, actually. For instance, if you disagree about the merits and effectiveness of a certain GOP Senate candidate from Illinois, you may find your posting priviledges somewhat restricted.
It sounds normal to me
I also come to FR to be encouraged. I don't read the posts thet I believe are not interesting to me nor the ones that I feel will damp my mood.
If you check, ShandaLear signed in in 2001 and has posted constitently... I got as far back as June 200 and there were abount a hundred posts.
:)
Something's happening here
What it is isn't exactly clear
I love this forum too. Just want to make this clear.
Your Either with or against us. Freepers will air anxiety, and points of view, we never despair, and will fight to the end for freedoms sake.
George W is our Man, winning is our only option. Vanities are chat room blogs, that help weed out truths and lies.
Stand your ground, and do not be so emotional about the negative, accentuate the postitive for those who seem top need it.
As I am doing for you now. Chin up, God willing and the Creek dont rise, George will be your President for 4 more Years.
God BLess America! OPs4
The moderator is right on the ball. Just in the last few days I've gone to 3 different posts only to find they have been deleted.
FR always mutates during election seasons, especially presidential elections. 2004 will only be our 2nd presidential, but you should have been here for 2000.
A real wingdinger.
Thanks alot for implanting that song in my head for remainder of the morning.
