Integrity, Integrity, Integrity (Vanity)

Posted on 10/14/2004 11:15:18 AM PDT by carrier-aviator

Kerry's attribution to this dying mother of the words "integrity, integrity, integrity," bring two things to mind.

From what kind of family does John Kerry come that his mother, with her last breath, doesn't speak of love, care, gratitude, the hereafter, etc. Instead she speaks of "Integrity, integrity, integrity"? Puhleeze. It is reminiscent of when Jimma Carter consulted with his foreign policy advisor, 13-year old Amy, and she cited her fears of nucular proliferation.

Both were total, mendacious contrivances. I hope all of you laughed last night as loudly as I did.

Kerry's mom probably knew him best and was ashamed of his lack of integrity and just giving him one last bit of ignored advice.

The funny thing about the "Look for the Union Label" song is that it was published decades after young Albert stopped wearing diapers. These Dems are so out of it. Doesn't anyone tell them how hokey and unbelievable this stuff sounds? Don't they know that there within the 290 million of us someone is gonna check out their statements?

Speaking of checking out: I believe the breaking story about the reasons for the delay in Kerry's military discharge is gonna be a big one. Ex-navy here, and I have never, ever seen a delay of that sort in a discharge. As the NY Sun story intimates: he probably got something less than an Honorable Discharge in 1972, and he politicked with the Jimma Carter administration to expunge it and issue him a new, Honorable one in 1978. Again, I ask, do these Dems not think people will check them out? The lack of the SF-180 might make it tough, but I predict we are gonna hear more about this before the election.

Mother's know best and it's clear for all to see that Kerry is tremendously challenged, integrity wise.

KERRY [to John O'Neill]: Vietnam Veterans Against the War haven't come back to this country to show bitterness or to tear the country apart or to tear it down. We're trying to show where the country went wrong, and we believe that as veterans who took part in this war, we can try and say, "Here is where we went wrong and we've got to change." And I think that the attitude of the [John O'Neill's group] Vietnam Veterans for a Just Peace is really, "my country, right or wrong," which is really on the intellectual level of saying "my mother, drunk or sober." Just as when your mother is drunk, you take her and dry her out - you take your country, when wrong, and put it right. And that's what we veterans are trying to do.

Did it make you think: "Power-Power-POWER"?

As in; you would not hear the suggestion if you didnt need it REAL bad?

"And what kind of a guy uses his mother's last words, uttered in an intimate, private moment, as a campaign advertisement?"

Kerry is a loose cannon motor mouth, who will say anything at anytime for personal gain.

"Integrity, integrity, integrity"

Cheap ad hoc rip off of General MacArthur's quote on his generalship when faced with overwhelming odds by an enemy, "audacity, audacity, audacity."

He was a totally boring, droning, brainiac last night. He never lacks a fact (or lie) to fill his two minute drone. Even if his policies were enlightened, exemplary and pro-American (which they are not), I could never fathom such a boring, self-important, pompous a***ole as he for President.

More pointedly, if "integrity, integrity, integrity" were heeded why would his current wife and daughter need to kick him and "keep him honest"?

"Even if his policies were enlightened, exemplary and pro-American (which they are not)"

When it comes to military decisions, this is the last person I want to see in the WH. It seems surreal this Traitor is running for POTUS during these times of global terrorism.

It was as laughable as a Dick Gephart memory. "I have a friend who is a billionaire... he told me if I really wanted to help him make money, to keep his taxes."
Obviously conflated for rhetorical purposes. Pretty sad attempt, too.

Posted this earlier, but my imagined version of the incident would be as follows.

"Mother, I've decided to run for President."

She looks her son in the eye. "Integrity! Integrity! Integrity!"

"Er ... What do you mean, Mother?"

"Integrity! You don't have any. Don't run for President, OK?"

The last words between my Mother and myself were, "I love you!" - She had already taught me integrity and she knew it.
