After seeing debates #2 and #3, I gotta wonder what happen to W during debate #1. Let's be honest people, debate #1 was a real stinker - at least in terms of presentation and style. What happened? Enquiring minds want to know.

Two days trudging through ruined orange groves talking to farmers who lost everything, hugging people who lost their homes and their livelyhood, handing out cases of water and MREs to Americans looking for hope, 35 Iraqi children being blown up that morning. That's what happened to the first debate.

I'll tell you what happened. Bush had been in Florida with the hurricane victims all day and he was obviously exhausted. You saw how up he was in #2 and #3, he is always up when he is stumping. #1 was just a bad night for him all the way around. Then there was Kerry who spent the day at the spa getting a manicure and a pedicure and probably a massage. Now you tell me what the difference was. Do you think this makes sense?

There was an article posted yesterday which discussed the things that Bush, as standing president, couldn't say. It was good and it made Bush's silence on some things and even his frustration understandable.

My vote goes to over-confidence. But it may cost him, but he cannot lose, because Kerry cannot win. Or we will all lose.
