Does anyone know if this is true?

Posted on 10/12/2004 8:20:27 PM PDT by hardworking

A friend just called me to say that she heard on the radio that Kerry said in some interview that he received a call on his cellphone on Saturday from Christopher Reeve to thank him for his support of stem cell research. Problem is that Christopher Reeve was in a coma on Saturday. Has anyone else heard this? Thanks.

Yes, I heard it, but I did not hear the Saturday part. Either way, Kerry is despicable to try to use someone who just died.

But yes, Kerry is a liar.

We could demand Kerry's cell phone records, but we have as much chance of getting those as the Navy Release for his medical records.

Kerry claims he received a 'long' voice mail from Reeve the same day he went into cardiac arrest, fell into a coma and subsequently died the next day.

"Kerry, who knew the "Superman" actor for about 15 years through family and dedication to the same causes, said Reeve left him a long voice mail on Saturday thanking him for campaigning on the possibilities of a cure for conditions like his." http://www.dailynews.com/Stories/0,1413,200~20954~2461635,00.html

"The star of the "Superman" movies fell into a coma on Saturday after going into cardiac arrest at his home in New York." http://www.cfra.com/headlines/index.asp?cat=2&nid=20516

Damning if true. Trading on a dead man's name. Kerry always seems to have "supporters" who can't deny their support. He mentions secret foreign leaders that want him as President, nameless dudes from the military who claim "we need you" in an airport (during one of the debates), and now a dead man.

Since John Edwards has channeled for others in ObGyn suits, Kerry was able to get some pitance of usefulness out of Edwards and have him channel the comatose Reeves.

It was a nice conversation.

For finally accomplishing something, Edwards got a nice red suit with a big "S" on it from Kerry.

Thay-ray-sah said, "It's John who's the "Big S-hole."

The 2 Johns shoved her back in the closet, both thinking it was the other John she was speaking of.

Actually, if sKerry wins (by fraud/cheating), his first act will be to bring him back to life and make him walk. /sarcasm off. (This is no sicker than Breck Girl's comments)

You're on the wrong site. Try DU and ask for sKerry and edwards. THEY BROUGHT IT UP, NOT US.

These hit and run routines are getting old. Wham (don't reply or we'll cry) is a great dimocRat manuever.

You probably read this on Who Something or Other, Out of Detroit, I think. The problem is this is the only one reporting Thursday. Every other publication, including the statement from the family, has said Saturday. I'm sure that sKerry is lieing. I doubt someone who is as sick as Reeves was would be making long , exuberant phone calls. But, it's dificult to prove. It is beneath us to badger his family at this time. And, given their politics, they would probably support Kery's story no matter how unlikely it is.

Kerry is a scumbag!
