Man killed by equipment pulled by team of horses

SHAWANO ? A 62-year-old Town of Hartland man died Saturday after being run over by a piece of equipment being pulled by a team of horses.

The Shawano County Sheriff?s Department said William A. Yoder was chopping corn with his team of horses and had stopped to talk to a friend who also was using a team of horses to chop corn.

When the friend told his team to move, Yoder?s horses also started moving.

Yoder fell when he attempted to catch his horses and was killed when he was run over by a chopper attached to the horses.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Mike Jesse.
