Yeah, keep CLEAN. Showers/baths DAILY. Be obsessive. Doorknobs, computer keyboards, pillowcases -- CLEAN. Get a cheap air purifier on eBay for the room that kills germs. I remember I got sick A LOT in my college dorm, too, and it is a bummer. I did none of the above and paid for it. With many many more immigrants coming here, they bring a lot of diseases that our immune systems aren't ready for. Echineacia and Goldenseal, too, helps a lot.

OH THE BIGGEST THING?

GET YOUR SLEEP. Your immune system is depressed when you don't get your eight hours --- and I don't mean eight hours from three am to eleven AM
Bodyclocks are set to the sunlight -- you need to get to bed at Midnight as much as you can.

(Needless to say, alcohol also depresses the immune system if overdone so watch that too.)

Hit the books, kid, and excel at your God given talent.

I didn't get sick at all in my dorm last year, but one of my roommates is from Korea (have a big room so have 2 roommates), and he brought an illness over so I seem to be more open to getting stuff this year.

I will take your advice. Luckily, the same roommate is a clean freak and so we clean a lot.
