Actually I just got home from doing just that! I was on the georgewbush web site and learned there is a compaign headquarters about a mile from house. I just stopped in to see what I can do to help. One man was there alone at first and he was BUSY!. It was a few minutes after 5pm, in the fifteen minutes I was there two more people just walked in cold to help like I had. And then the volunteers started arriving to start the 5:30 phone calls.
I can't wait to help! The calling looks easy to do, you work off a prepared work sheet. The people were warm and friendly.
It is going to feel much better to be doing, rather then worrying.
Well we live in 2 states but of course can only vote in one, being Republicans! Too bad we can't help on election day in Washington, they need us more than Arizona! We are here now, lots of Kerry signs near Seattle but few out in this rural area we live in, Marysville. In Phoenix I haven't seen as many signs this time for either Bush or Kerry, mostly local candidates. We are going to drive people to the polls on election day and do some calling. It helps to feel involved! And maybe REALLY helps too, even in the "safer" Bush states, like AZ.
