I was in a hurry so I just grabbed a random number, but I never thought that there were that many.
They used to put the current number of lurkers and the number of logged in accounts in the banner at the top. It hardly ever dropped below 200 logged in and that was several years ago. There are a lot who lurk, a million who take a look now and then wouldn't be too far off.
