Of even greater importance is the number who read here. With any message board or forum, it's a well known fact that most people will read but will never post. It's the number of readers that really expands the influence of Free Republic. Many in the press, commentators, and politicians peruse our pages on a regular basis and the number of actual members does not begin to tell the tale.

During the debate last night there was a lot of activity on FR. John Robinson said that it was something like 130 requests PER SECOND.

And yet the media still thinks that we are extremists while MoveOn.Org is a "grassroots organization" (funded by billionaires).
