I don't know. I agree that Soros is desparate to keep the truth from getting out, along with the entire Democratic party.

Nor was he ruffled when Edwards made his syrupy and underhanded reference to Cheney's daughter. That was a low blow, but Cheney never dignified it by responding.

As far as I'm concerned, the most important thing the Vice President said last night was that the VP could become President at any moment, it's happened before in our history. How anyone could look at that giddy snakeoil salesman (Edwards) and see him in the Oval Office is beyond me.

Haliburton IS a smokescreen. Yes, I'm glad VP Cheney said so.

I caught that too. After all the hoopla and press Kedwards did on "evil outsourcing".. frankly, I didn't think Cheney needed to be direct about Kedward's proposal to get drugs (outsource) in Canada.

factcheck.org is overloaded (I wonder...)

But here is the part on the page that deals with Haliburton:

Kerry Ad Falsely Accuses Cheney on Halliburton

Contrary to this ad's message, Cheney doesn't gain financially from the contracts given to the company he once headed.

September 30, 2004

Summary

A Kerry ad implies Cheney has a financial interest in Halliburton and is profiting from the company's contracts in Iraq.  The fact is, Cheney doesn't gain a penny from Halliburton's contracts, and almost certainly won't lose even if Halliburton goes bankrupt.

The ad claims Cheney got $2 million from Halliburton "as vice president," which is false. Actually, nearly $1.6 million of that was paid before Cheney took office. More importantly, all of it was earned before he was a candidate, when he was the company's chief executive.

I dunno bout you..but the reactions from the people I was watching the debate with..really thought Edwards comes off kinda gay. For real...real feminine reactions and mannerisms.

My best is the beginning, when the two blacks are drowning in quicksand and the white boss saves the cart instead and tells them to stop laying about, or when Cleavon Little tries to catch the KKK guys standing on the line, Gene Wilder goes "oh boyyys" And Cleavon Little says "Where the white women at?" Totally racist stuff, but the first time I saw that in the `70`s when it first came out I almost broke my gut. I swear that was the hardest I ever laughed, just totally insane stuff.

Sen. Gone could not break from his script. He even answered questions that the moderator did not ask. They key words he kept coming back to were "plan", "haliburton", "Sadaam".

I laughed when he couldn't complete a sentence without adding "Kerry" in there.

Cheney showed the poised control of a true statesman.
