Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hair - old home remedy - warm tang, tea and bourbon. Hm...I used to drink warm tang when I had a cold, sometimes with tea. Guess I hadn't known about the secret ingredient...
I betcha that helps even more, though!

You have a good deal of inner peace and acceptance to carry on with life as you do. Thanks FRiend. I certainly don't feel like it. 'Specially now.
Scenario: Rushing out the door to the bored meeting. It's dark. Contractor is upstairs. His van parked in the driveway. My neighbor has his truck backed into my driveway 'cause he's unloading grass seed in his yard. He moves, but he and his wife watch me back out.
I'm night blind anyway...so I thought I just bent the contrator's mirror back. And that may be all that happened on his van, I couldn't tell.
I, on the other hand, have scratches from the passenger door all the way back. However, looking at them one of them looks like it didn't happen tonite. In fact it looks suspiciously like someone keyed the truck all the way down the back. But I doubt it, I prolly did that too.
So, I'm in a lousy mood.
New working title for thebook, "God hates me and has a miserable plan for my life."
I know that ain't true. It just sorta feels like it right now. This ain't the proverbial straw.
But it's d@mn close.

...but you know what it's supposed to be, right?
Never mind an Italian would probably find the "Italian" version as high-larious s we find the retrans...
So I pulled all the carp off the table and took it apart...and for good measure did the computer desk and three carts (two of which had TV and microwave as primary functions). The computer is nw on the floor, as am I, and I don't immediately see any large furniture, that is going tomorrow (or at all), that has any carp installed thereon.
*yawn* ('scuse me!)
That's about it for me...
Laters yall...

Be comforted in the knowledge that no matter how bad life gets, it could always be worse.
Good evening....

Hey there... :-)
This isn't rocket science, you know... (quote from Tom Daschle, at a committee hearing about the missle defense system). As it would happen... it *was* about rocket science.

Nomatter what... it could always be worse.
Since you can always say that, whatever has happened is always better than what might have happened.
But that's just me. I'm an optimist. :-)

Ah! I found it. These were the Cheney quotes I was thinking of. October disguise...gotta love the guy...
Campaigning later in the Buckeye State, Vice President Dick Cheney laughed about Kerry's hunting trip, saying it clashed with the senator's voting record on gun rights. Cheney likened Kerry's camouflage jacket to "an October disguise." He told supporters that "the Second Amendment is more than just a photo opportunity."
