we use Symantec Ghost to set up a boot disk with the proper CD drivers....

Ghost is probably the best utility ever created! It has saved my A$$ several times. Plus! as I'm sure you know never install a preview or beta of anything from Macrosoft.
I learned that lesson the hard way when NT4 release candidate zero was released. Yikes :) When Plug N' Pray was introduced it recognized my "New" drive and formatted it without asking and wiped out 4 years of work, Yeah, I love Bill Gates et al. )
