A friend just told me about this. I did not see it myself. Did Kerry use material from classifed documents Berger stole? It was about not having enough translators to examine all the documents on terrorist activity. Even though the problem was pointed out to be extremely serious under Clinton by someone who has been critical of Bush lately, name escapes me now. Kerry wouldn't mention that of course.
Hmmm...coupla comments....
I was thinking the same thing about Berger's theft after the debate, but not in the context you mentioned.
FR was all over the removal of Nat'l Security proposals from the Kerry web site after the SandyBurglar's exploits became known.
As for the volume of untranslated materials...that has been around forever and a day. The papers have been talking it up lately, but the shortage of linguists in both the military and the civilian intelligence agencies has been a problem since before the Army trained me in 1976-'77.
We have never been able to translate all the material we possess, and one of the challenges in the business is to prioritize what does and doesn't get translated.
Nah, that story came out about a week before the debates.
