C&R...? not famillar with that, but as in can you get a hold of one for private use. I believe so. It is actually variant of the old M14's if i am not mistaken. All you need to do is find an old M14 and throw a scope on it. They are accurate as all heck, and make nice big holes. :)
IF you are looking for accurate long arms for sniping and distance shooting another good one is a Russian Designed Mosin Nagnat m44. there are some surplus ones on the market cheap (under 100$) and the are very accurate a scope is about all that is needed.

Curio & Relics license. It basically allows you to buy guns from interstate wholesaler/importers instead of buying through a licensed middleman.

Ha d the M-14 on Subs. Great weapon. Can knock stuff down to about as far as you can see with steel. Still prefer my 338 Mag.
