Did anyone bother to see this show? What were opinions? I did not see it but was wondering.

I won't watch anything that considers infidelity entertainment.

I've gotta say that after all the hype, I found this program dull. The women were stereotypes, we won't even go into the men. The characters were not interesting at all. Let's see a businesswoman who hates her kids. Nice. A woman who is having sex with an underaged boy. A VERY HOT divorcee who we are to believe is a wallflower and her oh so enlightened, precocious daughter who is smarter than she is. The perfectly coiffed, housekeeper. Do you know anybody even remotely like those people. Please. Oh, and let's not forget the neighborhood sexpot. It wasn't interesting, and to even put it in the same category as Twin Peaks is ridiculous. This shows what Hollywood thinks about the suburbs, motherhood and family. I read an article that the writer's ispiration was his Mother. That would make sense because all the stereotypes feel like they're living in the 1960's or the 1970's.

This is the year 2004. Women aren't caged and unable to do things. I just thought it was bizarre.

I didnt follow any of the plot lines or where the gun was etc...

All I know is that showing a person pointing a gun to their heads and pulling the trigger makes it all the more likely that young children will see that image, and emulate it, should they come across a loaded gun.

Not that far off from where I live. Upscale area of town, lots of moms who had careers now at home with their babies and their jogging strollers. Lots of perfect looking women who play tennis and drive their BMWs (guilty!). Perfection in all forms--the homes, parties, kids. Sometimes, as I get into my car on my way to tennis, that I am living in a WE TV movie.

And when she and the boys escaped from the nosey neighbor who was going to call social services on her ... when she thought she had the discipline thing knocked by leaving them on the side of the road (which I would never do, btw) - talk about being pulled up short!

And she was in one of the Spy Kids movies - the first one? She got half of her character's hair ripped out. She does goofball well.

Since it is Sunday night and a new episode is on, I did a search to see what FReepers were saying about this funny funny show.
The redheaded one, Bree, is my favorite. She just described her first date with her husband, at the young republican meeting in college, and I thought, "my lord, she is a lot like me". Her escapades are hilarious, and unlike me, but you have to like quirky stuff that requires catching to really appreciate this show.
Just MHO
