Am strongly in favor of being prepared.

But I also firmly believe that all we rely on in our own strength will eventually be caused to come to naught.

And that ONLY our utter dependence on God will sustain our existence in this life and lead us safely to the next--eternity with Him.

Well that is something you should be able to feel and not have to dwell on. The Archangel Gabriel will protect you, but know that everything you own doesn't matter a bit if you do not understand the nature of ego and humility. Release yourself to those that will prepare you for any event, remove yourself from pride and place yourself squally in humility then you'll know faith without concern for reason.
