I understand your feelings and experiences fairly easily, I think.
I think your sensibilities are sound enough, in my book. We all see through a glass darkly and must grow in discernment by Holy Spirit's teaching, gifting and empowering and leading.
Certainly we test things by The Spirit and by Scripture.
And some of us sensitive birds of rare plumage are rarely understood even by other authentic Christians. Sometimes it seems that God creates some of us so uniquely for HIS PLEASURE that we don't have a great breadth and depth of congruent interface with others. We have to grow in learning that HE IS ENOUGH. There can be a lot of paradoxes along that road!
Anyway--welcome. If you want to ask a mod to remove a post for a good reason, they are usually ammenable. But I don't see anything wrong with your post.
If the naysayers hassle you, ignore them.

Spouse and good friend have had several tsunami dreams lately, and now the 11 yr old daughter of friend had one.
They live near the northern CA coast (about 1/4 mile, to be exact) and spouse and I live about 40 miles from coast.

I will say that of late I am a little more open to crossing denominational boundaries than I would have been. I do try to be very careful not to get involved with hateful people or those who try to use religion and bible verses to control anyone. I have had damaging encounters in the past with unscrupulous practitioners of Christianity. Most of us have.
It has to be a level playing field or it won't work. We were given free will. We must accord that to others and treat them with respect.
For me, it is very counter productive and damaging to quibble over doctrine. You do the best you can, but here's everybody bashing people and the enemy is at the gates. In the end people are going to have to help one another.
