Sometimes its just a lack of understanding. God is patient, He knows the heart of a man (or a woman), He understands desire to learn, and somethings just scare people. We lay precept upon precept. It comes at all levels. The salvation message will pull people, but yet their feet glue to the floor...fear,pride (what will people think). The baptism of water or even the Holy Spirit...also will pull...again fear, feet glued to floor. Don't take it so personal.....no where in scripture does God say we have to Prove anything. He said He would confirm His word. Its not about us...its about HIM. We just have to be willing to take a good look inside ourselves and see what our motives are. And look at fruit, what are we producing? AND don't forget the milk drinkers and the meat eaters...some are just not ready to eat meat, they grow to that point. (HOPEFULLY) Me? I'd rather have a big juicy rare steak over a glass of milk anyday, but it is a little more work to get it down.....rofl!!!

Believe it or not, I do earnestly TRY to be sensitive and obedient regarding those points, issues etc.
Have learned the hard way that God has honed and fired me into a particular kind of tool. I still try, rightly, to be able to be fittingly all things to all people as Holy Spirit leads. And, I certainly want to avoid the hammer seeing every problem as a nail.
However, there are certain contexts, personalities, issues etc. wherein . . . though it seems at present like the opposite of what I desire is occurring--and probably is--at present . . . have learned that Holy Spirit has an amazing capacity to make use of all the aspects of the . . . interaction months and years down the road. Not my preference or way but . . . who am I.
I think I'm not taking it THAT personal. Most of my personal reference stuff is mosstly to highlight the hypocrisy on such matters. It doesn't raise my anxiety or pique 2%. Been there, done that. So what if XYZ or a city full of people think whatever about me. Nothing new there!

I'm enormously convinced that USNDAD ASSUMES lists of things about my words just as he does about Scripture. I can't control either. But both are illustrative about how the RELIGIOUS SPIRIT preys on people.
I don't think he realizes that whatever trauma or hazard or whatever it is that I'm picking up on that's ahead--I don't think the will have a clue that IT WILL BE GOD'S MERCY AND LOVE TO HIM regardless of how traumatic and painful it is.
Nevertheless, it would likely still go better for him to have some warning about what's coming down the pike even if he discounts it and trashes it wholesale. Holy Spirit will still likely have an easier time convincing him in the middle of it, when the time comes, than if the thought had never crossed his consciousness. We shall see.
One could construe his response to be that of an increasingly hardened heart. But, that's usually paradoxical. Often the harder, the closer to breaking--to the point of being crushed and ground to powder--which seems long overdue.
Not a fun process.
