the baptism of the Holy Spirit as presented in scripture. Basically, it only happened twice in scripture, the first time was an indication of the salvation of God coming down to man. The second was to indicate that salvation was available to the Gentiles.

I have a question, I have never had hands laid on me. I am a believing and practicing Christan.

So what is inside of me? I feel like I have the Holy Spirit although I don't go around doing miracles or such. Are you saying unless I have hands laid on me I am less of a Christian and have no power in the WORD of GOD? In Acts 1:8 is Jesus not saying the we will recieve power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you now later in Acts2: 4 the Holy Spirit comes in fire right?

AAAWWWW Davey!!! Be serious! :) Are you less of a person because you only finished high school and not college? How MUCH of God do you want? And don't tell me there are not degrees....the marriage supper of the Lamb, speaks of the BRIDE and then there are the FRIENDS who are invited. Selah. (meditate on that)

Don't get me wrong. ALL saved Christians have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, as is promised in Acts 2:38. I'm just saying that we don't get the HS in the miraculous measure any more. Acts 1:8 was specifically spoken to the Apostles. If it applies to us, then we should be waiting in Jerusalem until we get this miraculous measure of the Holy Spirit.
