I have been quietly lurking and reading this thread with great interest. I find I now wear the "Deer-in-the-headlights" look because of the hubris of a few posters who feel they have the authority to tell God to shut-up.
My view is that God is All Knowing and All Powerful. If God wants to communicate something to us dummies, He is gonna do it, no matter what we tell God to do.
The more I think about it, the more it looks like the same origional sin first seen in the Garden of Eden, men trying to be above God . . .
Yours IS
a rather astute, profound, and I hazard, a Spirit-led
observation!
imho, of course!
There's a SCRIPTURE which entirely destroys their argument all by itself. Thankfully there's a host of others but this one will do:
Amos 3
6 When a trumpet sounds in a city,
do not the people tremble?
When disaster comes to a city,
has not the LORD caused it?
7 Surely the Sovereign LORD does
nothing
without revealing his plan
to his servants the prophets.
8 The lion has roared-
who will not fear?
The Sovereign LORD has spoken-
who can but prophesy?
OBVIOUSLY (except for dyslexic skunks),
Everything since then must be a virutal reality fantasy land imagination and 100% unreal
OR
God has been telling at least a secreted away prophet or two at least the outline of what God has planned to do and then in that future, gone and done
OR
AMOS is lying.
I believe Amos.
No other logic truly fits Scripture AND the historic realities, not to mention the current realities.
Probably the dyslexic skunks need treatment for their dyslexia or general English comprehension or perhaps for logic and reasoning skills. LOL.
Mercifully, someone with an authentic experience is never at the mercy of someone with merely an argument--especially a worshipped, dogmatic, narrow, rigid, unBiblical argument, at that.
