Post Debate Damage Control(Vanity)

Freepers- I require some help. My parents (who I love dearly) have always voted Democratic. About 2 months ago, they decided they didn't like John Kerry because of his lavish life style. I just got off of the phone with them, and after last evenings debates, they have changed their minds. They have no internet or cable. The only news they get is from Dan Blather. I need some "simple" facts that can sway them back to Bush. They were very concerned that Bush "was taking away their social security money". I am beside myself, and really need to convince them, in simple terms, to vote for Bush, this time. FYI-I'm in Wisconsin, a swing state.

Good point. I can make them understand that! Thanks!

Tell them maybe they are worried about their children's future (YOU) and they have realized that Kerry is an endangerment to their life's greatest achievement, their children. And Kerry would sell your soul to keep their taxes high, betray those fighting for world freedom, as he said it last night. Forget about life and death issues, Kerry is not smart enough to talk about anything but himself. "I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I"

Talk about yourself and your concerns for the future and who should lead us.  That should do it.  Your parents will listen if you tell them forcefully, and with appreciation for their efforts for raising you to think in the right way.

Sorry-I meant to send that to you, not to me. I just so flustered by my conversation. Every vote really counts this time!

Thank you - if I make it personal, they will understand. I can't believe how strongly I feel about this and how upset I am. I will be a total wreck by Nov 2nd.

A vote for Kerry is a vote for Osama.

Ask them if they think that the US should GIVE Iran Nuke fuel. Then follow up with the fact sKerry wants to do so. Giving Iran nuke fuel is like giving a loaded gun to a 5 year old. Or a parole killer and hoping neither misuses it. Ask them if they are willing to have their grandchildren's world made less safe if sKerry gives Iran nuke fuel..like clinton gave to North Korea.'I think the United States should have offered the opportunity to provide the nuclear fuel, test them, see whether or not they were actually looking for it for peaceful purposes. If they weren't willing to work a deal, then we could have put sanctions together. The president did nothing.

Ask them if they think our troops should fight terrorist who are hiding in caves and bunkers without Bunker Buster bombs. Or that we should no longer have missile defense.

Should our troops use SPIT BALLS!

Skerry is purposing all these things.

Ask them if it's right to vote to send our young men and women to war, then vote to not give them food, water, ammo and kevlar vest and humvee armor. sKerry voted NO to all these things.

Keep it simple.

I agree. Didn't they change his name to Usama just recently?

I'm sorry to hear that. Ouch. I don't know how you could break it down to something simpler than that.

BTW tell them sKerry voted to TAX their SS money. That he voted for the medicare payment increases.

Tell them that Republicans have elderly parents on SS too, so why would we cut off their SS you can't just cut of Dem SS recievers you'd have to cut everyones. Ditto for air and water we have to breathe and drink the same as dems do.

..depends on the publication; you may recall something similar in the mid-80s with Qaddafi, Gaddafi, etc.

As is my understanding of Arabic, there are no vowels in the alphabet and the sounds are assumed.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. I guess I'm still "under-the-weather" from all of the alcohol I had to consume last night every time sKerry said combat or Vietnam. It is my mission to convert them back to Bush. Wisconsin needs every vote!

You bet we do!

As long as the gas prices stay as high as they are, that's surely going to limit the amount of Election Night drive-by voting that the Lib College Kids are going to be able to afford this time.

Hi Meeps,

My Grandparents are the exact same way. Democrat no matter what. I did have an opportunity to sit down with one Grandmother and speak to her about a few issues that opened her eyes. Maybe this wil help you too.

In conversation w/ you parents, mention your children and what a blessing they are to the earth. Mention that if it were entirely up to democrats, many children like yours, would not be here. And those who almost get here, can still be murdered in the process.

Ask your parents whether they'd like to go out dinner and be seated by a couple of men who are holding hands and smooching because they are on their honeymoon.

Ask your parents if they have had the chance to enjoy their new prescription drug benefits? If not, they surely will.

For me and my grandmother, she was sold on the issue of abortion. As far as Homosexuals, she was aghast, and turned her head away. We didn't even get to discuss the Social Security because my Grandma didn't need that much convincing.

Good luck.
