Approx. 1,452 quakes on this map of the U.S. that includes Puerto Rico; and that is just in the past week. I have been watching the quake info. since about January; at that time the quakes per week on this same map were averaging about 200 - 300. I find it odd that so little is being mentioned about the number of quakes.

No big deal. The 6.0 and the aftershocks following it are responsible for the higher count. I believe there have been over 800 aftershocks. That's not unusual, really. Anytime there is a largish earthquake, the count on that map will jump.
