Everyone I talked to at work today was offended by the poodle's condescending attitude. Hubby said this morning that if were George Bush, he would have shoved Ketchup's debate notes where he would have needed a proctologist to help him retrieve them...
Not many out there bragging about their boy kerry. After reading some of the articles posted about the debates I am more and more confident.
I get the impression most think of kerry as that boss they had once that they cannot stand.
I had a boss like John F'n many years ago-the man was the most condescending, mean minded, arrogant and self righteous prick I have ever had the misfortune to know-and yes, he does remind me of that dreadful man. And when I was in college, I had a boyfriend whom Skerry reminds me of-same superior attitude-hell, he even lookd like Skerry...
I'm going to light the grill for steaks, bake potatoes and steam some broccoli-I'll also be wishing you luck as you cook for and corral five teens at a slumber party...
As I told you all, hubby got me "Unfit for Command" for my birthday, the week before my birthday, so I've had it 2 weeks.
I'm a reader and when I get into reading something it is hard for me to put down. Unfit is well written, flows very well, and is about a subject I am interested in - the type of book I can normally put away in one session, even reading the footnotes.
I can't....I'm only half way through chapter 6.
I have to put the book down often because it is making me so incredibly angry. If even only one-quarter of what is being said in the book is true (and I believe far more of it than that) that man not only should not be running for President of the United States of America, he should not be a United States Senator - the only thing he should be doing is pounding rocks at Leavenworth.
I had the same problem, I kept getting angry. After finishing it I passed my copy on to a friend who has taken it on a business trip to Alabama. My contribution to the election. ;-)
Hubby gets my copy next - then I will see where it goes!!!!!
Nah. Treason is a capital crime.....
Went out to dinner and sat at a table next to some friends. They asked if we watched the debate. They turned out to be Bush fans...they joked about "jim"kerry.........asked if we saw the movie last night "Liar, Liar." So far when I am out, people believe Bush came out on top -- Bush fans are openly talking about this here in the land of the hildebeast. Things are better then they seemed last night. Keep the faith.
I know that - which is why I prefaced my comments the way I did.
Speaking of traitors I'll be spending the day with Martin Sheen tomorrow. Heckling him of course.
Keeping the faith is easy for me..........nervous occassionally, but generally optimistic.
Where we went for lunch today got an unexpected onslught of heavy lunch crowd, and most were tourists, so there wasn't much chatter that nature amongst folks.
Have fun!!!!!!!!!
I'd give anything to have a day like that compared to mine tomorrow!!!!
Fall Festival/field day at a local elementary school in the morning/early afternoon, and then I have an online BOD meeting late afternoon.
Wanna switch????????? (just kidding)
No thanks. I'll share pics if we get any, I hope someone has a digital camera.
Get yourself one - they're dirt cheap now!!!!!!!!!
Again - just kidding.......
Heck I might as well.
Try pricewatch.com or tigerdirect.com
Cheaper than anything you will find in a store anywhere.
BTW hubby is actually playing on FR tonight and commented about seeing both your name and XS on the thread about the dissing jF'nk gave Poland last night.
Re: the camera? Any brands/models to recommend?
I;m no expert and no photographer - I was just looking for something inexpensive that had the ability for a memory card.
Mine is a concord 2000 and it is a work horse for my purposes - which is scenery, the kid, the dogs and FReeps. without a memory chip I can set it to take from 33 (high resolution top quality) pix to 126 (low resolution economy quality) without downloading. It's got 3 different zoom settings. And we paid $65 almost a year ago.
You can problably do better now.
We decided what we wanted, then searched through the websites and looked at the price range we wanted. And rmember, I'm notoriously cheap when buying something for myself.
For more profesional information I would suggest asking NYCGOPCHICK or ValerieUSA.
