I've come to the conclusion that I don't give a rip what O'Really thinks. He's on in the background, but only because I'm afraid I'll forget H&C. If they're flat tonite, it's HGTV for me.
I was upset about the "debate" last night, however, there may be some hope. Kerry's really ridiculous and frightening pronouncements are coming back to bite him... just imagine an American President who would insist on a "Global Test" before making a pre-emptive strike to protect the citizens of the US? Calling France, Germany, China, etc and saying...."Well, we are about to be attacked, but I won't send the missiles to protect LA and New York until you guys give me the OK". And, that was only one of his outrageous utterings. Reading through the transcripts, there are at least 17 lies and those are also being brought to light. I believe one of the reasons George Bush performed poorly is because he couldn't believe what he was hearing and was unable to go back on the offensive - he let Kerry put him on the defensive, but only for a short time, however, that is the time period most people are remembering.
It is a perfect Fall afternoon here on the north Oregon coast - just 62 degrees, clear skies, cobwebs floating through the air, the geese have flown in, landed in the quiet part of the river and are honking back and forth. It smells good in the house, I am roasting a chicken thigh and leg for my dinner, and in a little while, I will add the Marsala to give it some additional flavor.
Let's all keep the prayers going for our President.
