AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1350) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | Octboer 1, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 10/01/2004 4:56:45 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

America will NEVER seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Senator John Effin Kerry demonstrated last night why he should never be granted admittance to the White House, even as a guest, let alone as President.

First and foremost--there has to be a "global test" to protect America. Get that! If this country had information in its possession that a reasonable person (and remember that's the test that was used and its threshold exceeded for Saddam) could interpret as being a threat, this Nation would forego even the defense of its citizens with John Kerry as President!

Think about this, let it sink in. Now let's make it personal for a moment. You would not be allowed, for example, to take a different way home even if you knew on your normal route there was an individual with a weapon ready to kill you! In John Kerry's world, you would take that route--AND YOU WOULD SURELY DIE! But that's all right--you did not do anything to protect yourself, so you died nobly.

John Kerry had the unmitigated temerity to say the President didn't do every thing he could to protect our soldiers in Iraq, even accusing Mr. Bush of withholding the body armor that would make our soldiers safer under enemy small arms fire. This despite the fact that SENATOR KERRY VOTED AGAINST THE $87 BILLION PACKAGE THAT WOULD HAVE PROVIDED SUCH MATERIEL.

Senator John Effin tried to duck the word "lie" with regard to President Bush, saying he would never reach down to that level and use that term in reference to the President. An interesting show of deference that is most unusual for the Senator. In a September 2003 campaign appearance, Mr. Kerry said: This Administration has lied to us. They have misled us. And they have broken their promises to us. In the Boston Globe, Sen. Kerry was quoted as saying: Bush has lied about his reason for going to war in Iraq... [Source: Patrick Healy, "Kerry Camp Leaves N.H. Expectations Behind in Polls, Senator Now Seeks Spot in Top Two," The Boston Glove, December 18, 2003. Emphasis in original.]

And then there was the quip about the NY Subway being shut down. KERRY: That's why they had to close down the subway in New York when the Republican Convention was there. (Making a point that Bush has been inadequate in protecting America.) FACT: THE NYC SUBWAY DID NOT CLOSE AT ALL DURING THE CONVENTION!

The Senator also is geography, religiously, and ethnically challenged. He made a reference to looking at KGB records in Treblinka Square. TREBLINKA WAS ONE OF THE MOST NOTORIOUS NAZI DEATH CAMPS!

Now some of the minor details--Sen. Kerry stated the Bush tax cut only went to the President and himself! Being fair and realizing that he was using the two of them as a metaphor for the rich, he's still wrong. The tax cut was across the board.

Kerry says we spent $200 billion on the war on Iraq. We've only spent $120 billion. Sen. Kerry only arrived at the higher number by including what has been appropriated by Congress to spend in the future if needs require!

Senator Kerry even seemed to know where Bin Laden was! He indicated he was in Tora Bora and US forces could have nailed him. Problem is, there was no evidence he was there [maybe the Senator would have known this had he bothered to make time to attend intel briefings!].

He still thinks he knows where The Evil One is, making reference several times to his being in Afghanistan--if he knows where Osama is, why doesn't he tell US military forces?

Senator Kerry talks as if bilateral negotiations would work in North Korea. Senator, they were tried. That's how they got the Bomb!

The Senator continued to vacilate on the issue of Iraq--during the 90 minutes he was saying it was the "wrong war," then the right war, then the wrong war, then the right war, then the wrong war, before finishing up with it being the right war (it's difficult counting the flips and flops). On Iraq at the beginning: And he rushed the war in Iraq without a plan to win the peace. Now, that is not the judgment that a president of the United States ought to make. On Iraq at the end: I'm not talking about leaving. I'm talking about winning.

But that statement is another lie. He wants out of Iraq in four years, and starting to pull away in six months. He said so earlier in the debate.

And that's just what can be crammed into an hour's typing this morning. There are certainly others!

Now the end was notable. President Bush respectfully solicit the listeners for their vote, just as he did in the 2000 election. Senator Kerry ended without even bothering to ask. Small point, but it shows a lack of humility on the behalf of the Senator that smakcs of arrogance.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

To be expected from the trolls. They were out en masse last night, I went head to head with some of them.

Mostly I laughed at them.

Yep - last night, the late night liberals on talk radio were just elated and screeching "it is over! NOW the American people know George Bush is a murderer! Kerry in a landslide!!!"

Strong performance for Kerry - it certainly was, however (you liberal jerks!) he was telling whoppers!

A very good synopsis, Chair. Thank you.

An Iraqi national with ties to terrorists was captured in Iraq with a disk that has information on San Diego and other school's emergency preparedness plans.

I have sent this article to everyone in my e-mail address book who has children. The Iraqi got this information from a web site and we should demand that our school officials remove information like this from the web.

Kids say the darnedest things:

A few years ago, Joseph was probably 7 or 8, I asked him what he thought about getting extra points on a test to get into college because we're Hispanic. He questioned; "What do they think we're stupid?" Now that's an objective answer, CBS could learn a thing or two.

The MSM and the DUmmies are going nuts trying to make W the loser in the debate. What's ironic is that sKerry is trying to portray the Pres. as a lier, when in fact he lies constantly, taking his talking points from Michael Moore, Howard Dean, CBS and Kofi Annon (more liars). The liberal media is going DOWN.

My hubby and son watched the entire debate with me. The 14 year old afterward shook his head and said, "I really hate politics!"

I said nothing to him, but smiled to myself, because I have observed him taking a great interest in politics (for a kid his age), over the past couple of years. It's in his blood, poor kid! :-)

Now what was with Kerry's comment about x-raying the cargo hold of aircraft?

"Civilians get onto aircraft, and their luggage is X- rayed, but the cargo hold is not X-rayed."

Hun?

The cargo hold x-rayed? Going to need a pretty darn big machine to do that. Would that even be safe? If you really needed to do it?

I mean, the cargo hold of an aircraft--someone correct me if I am wrong--is a big empty area that people can readily see if something is in there or not. If nothing's in there prior to stowing baggage, then the checked baggage scan covers it, no?

Kerry with yet another silly way to spend money that wouldn't make us one iota safer!!!

I am explicitly waiving copyright on those portions of the opening rant not directly attributed to third party sources.

Do with as you want. It's a message that needs to get out, I think.

Well, I just got off the phone with Greg Garrison. I pointed out several lies, emphasized the "global test" thing, and told him (because he had said he thought Lehrer was fair) to go back and check the questions asked, as they were all either "President Bush, why are you a loser?" or "Senator Kerry, why do you think President Bush is a loser."

Got my point across, and Garrison said he would review the transcript.

EVERYBODY needs to do this. Call shows, write letters, and talk to your neighbors. Kerry did NOT do well except in talking. His subject matter is very shakey and easily refuted and/or denigrated.

Hi Iowa Granny:

Thanks for the welcome. You remember me, right? I'm the New York City resident who hates the protesters too! My 18 year old is having a good old time dorming at Juilliard, and he can't stand the liberals. He hung up his Bush-Cheney sign in his room and verbally fights off his detractors. He told me it's quite simple and fun. Someone tells him a lie, he refutes it with facts, and duh, they're usually left speechless. BTW, at the Bush-Cheney site there is a wonderful expose on Kerry's lies (just from last night). Good ammunition for all of us. Go W!!

"Kerry with yet another silly way to spend money that wouldn't make us one iota safer!!!"

Kerry is spinning out of control. He doesn't know his ass from his elbow. No one believes his crap unless you're a partisan democrat or a fool.

Here are the facts taken from Bush-Cheney website:

Kerry's Claim: Only Five Percent Of Seaborne Containers Entering The Country Are Inspected.

The Facts:

All Containers Are Screened, 100 Percent Of High-Risk Containers Are Physically Inspected. (Testimony By Robert C. Bonner Before The House Ways And Means Committee, Trade Subcommittee, On The FY 2005 Customs Service Reauthorization, 6/17/2004)

The President's 2005 Budget Increases Port Security 628 Percent Over 2001. The President has called for $1.9 billion in funding in 2005 to increase the security of our ports. That is a $224 million (13 percent) increase over 2004, and a $1.6 billion increase (628 percent) over funding levels from President Clinton's last budget. (http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/02/20040205-5.html)

The President Initiated The Container Security Initiative (CSI) To Screen High-Risk Containers At Foreign Ports, Before They Ever Get To The United States. CSI ensures that cargo destined for the United States is pre-screened while it still at foreign ports, well before it ever reaches our shores. CSI is being implemented today at the top 20 foreign ports, which account for more than 2/3 of the cargo entering the United States. The program is in the process of expanding to other ports as part of Phase II of its operations. The President has called for a 25 percent ($25 million) increase in funding for CSI in FY 2005, bringing funding for CSI to a total of $126 million. (http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/interapp/press_release/press_release_0178.xml; http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/02/20040205-5.html)

Kerry's Claim: Air Cargo Is Not Being Screened For Explosives.

The Facts:

One Hundred Percent Of Passengers And Passenger Bags Are Now Screened. TSA has implemented 100 percent screening of checked baggage. (http://www.tsa.gov/public/display?content=090005198002d52d; DHS Budget in Brief - Fiscal Year 2005, http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/interapp/editorial/editorial_0391.xml)

TSA Is Taking Measures To Identify All High-Risk Air Cargo. TSA has established a database of vetted shippers, which is then used in a risk-weighted freight screening system that will identify pieces of cargo requiring closer scrutiny before being loaded on passenger aircraft. TSA prohibits "unknown shipper" cargo from flying aboard passenger carriers. (DHS Press Release: "TSA Implements Random Inspections of Cargo," 11/17/2003, At http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/display?theme=43&content=3014&print=true; http://www.dhs.gov/interweb/assetlibrary/OIG_DHSManagementChallenges0304.pdf)

President Bush Has Vastly Increased Funding To Improve Screening Technology. The President's FY 2005 Budget includes $85 million for air cargo security systems – a huge increase from the FY 2003 budget of $5 million. Funding includes $30 million for the "known shipper" program, $55 million to improve cargo screening and inspections, and funds to hire an additional 100 staff to audit shipper compliance. (DHS Budget In Brief - Fiscal Year 2005, http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/interapp/editorial/editorial_0391.xml; http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/display?theme=43&content=1817&print=true)

Oh yeah, according to Kerry, we mush inspect the empty cargo planes, never mind what the administration IS doing.

You remember me, right?

Does this mean I've already welcomed you? If that is the case, I'll apologize and Welcome you again, just for good measure. And to cover up my senility.

I'm really focused on some state campaigns and can hardly remember my Grandchildren's names, let alone who I have and have not welcomed.

Really sorry for the misstep.

"Pull up a chair and sit a spell."

Thank you Mr. Chairman for your welcome and for the vast amount of information this thread keeps. I got to step out, but I'll be back.

Go W!!

As for your new tag-line, shorten it up a bit. I recently changed my tag line too, it used to be "Liberals abide by a morality all their own" until a fellow FReeper pointed out that "morality" was an inoperable word for liberals (ha ha he he).
