What's the prob?
Of course one must be semi-smart and maybe a smidge sophisticated to get it....then again, I think the average American of goodwill understands.
Here is the claim on Kerry's web site -
"Then, yesterday, when asked about conditions in Iraq, Secretary Rumsfeld told Congress, and I quote: Lets pretend, hypothetically, that you get to election time in January and lets pretend that its roughly like it is, or a little worse, which it could be, because youve got to expect it to continue
.So be it, nothing is perfect in life. If there was any doubt that the leaders of the Bush Administration are living in a fantasy world of spin, I think Secretary Rumsfeld put that doubt to rest."
My question is - where is this transcript which Kerry says Rumsfeld "told Congress" and made this alleged statement ?
If Rumsfeld TOLD CONGRESS this, there must be a record.
Thanks...
