Sounds like fatherless (and possibly motherless, too). The story mentioned, "According to the student's grandmother, the boy kept asking to go to bathroom and the teacher got frustrated." If the little boy had parents who cared, they would be the ones interviewed.
At any rate, it sounds like the poor little boy has been neglected from both sides - at school and at home. If the story is true that he asked to go to the bathroom repeatedly, then the teacher should have allowed him to go.
So the family is used to this sort of behavior?
I doubt this kid's welcome to visit many places.
Talk about having a crappy day at school!
That's the problem with this damned excerpting!
Perhaps this person shouldn't be teaching children this young.
I agree. Putting a "sample" in the child's backpack to go home with him is not only a bit twisted, but highly unsanitary.
I remember first grade. More than once I remember kids puking or peeing on the floor. Teachers of little kids have to deal with stuff like that. That's why have school janitors with mops and buckets.
BTW - I don't think the online article actually mentioned what grade he was in, however, I live in Dallas and I heard on the news the other night that the boy was in first grade.
my mom lives in china. she says kids of that age use the restroom, 1 and 2 out on the streets.
