Pollster/Consultant Dick Morris says that after the debates, President Bush will have a huge lead in the polls, but Sen. Kerry will be able to turn it around in the final three weeks to make it a contest. He challenged the Kerry strategy of attacking Bush on Iraq, but he says that Kerry will go back to traditional liberial domestic issues to turn the election around.
He predicts Bush will win "by a couple of points", but a win is a win.

Not long ago he predicted that it wouldn't be close -- it'd break one way or the other.

Well there you go. This is exactly what I was waiting to hear from Mr. Morris. Don't get me wrong, I think he has a particularly keen insight and gives viable analysis to current situations. However, any prediction from him should expect the exact opposite result. And to this, I say "kudos". Thanks Dick.

He wrote a column, yesterday, that said Bush could "put the election away" in the debates.
Morris changes as much as Kerry does.

Morris's last prediction was the Dems were poised for big gains in the 2002 mid-terms. I believe he wrote an article titled "Egg on my face" or something after that.

And Dick Morris is NEVER WRONG!
Except, of course, when his lips are moving.

I quit trying to figure out this Dick long ago. His nasal voice is irritating and I can still remember him saying "mater-of-factidly" "Oh Hillary is going to run this year on Oreilly, H&C etc... He's anoying..

Dick Morris is insightful and worth listening to but he sometimes says things that are colossally wrong. He ended his time by saying that the only one who could beat Hillary was Condi Rice!

He also said that Dean was a shoe-in for the nomination.
I hope he is right about the debates if Bush has a big lead after the debates, watch the media kick Kerry to the curb and start sucking up to Nader

I worry about the debates because the media will spin anything Kerry says, like they did with the first Reagan-Mondale debate in 1984.

The key to understanding Morris is that he is bipolar. He is apparently a passionate Republican (unless someone pays him to help the Dem's.) He goes back and forth from fear and hope resulting in alternately being pessimistic and optimistic in excessive shades.
