The Graybacks had better true cavalrymen of the hussar heritage ... pistols and sabres.

The Yanks were better with the wave of the future .. mounted infantry/dismounted cavalry with the repeating rifles.

John Hunt Morgan is still honored in Kentucky. His home is preserved as a museum in Lexington. I used to live on that street which had many antebellum homes. It was rather eerie to walk by at dusk and imagine yourself back in the 1860s.
