Yes! five cent candy bars and in your (child's) hand, they were the size of a loaf of today's bread. I was addicted to Mallow Cups in my youth. They had a program to redeem the coinage inserted into the Mallow Cup packaging. I'd save up 500 points to get 10 free Mallow Cup packs and then wind up eating up the ten free packs in one day. No control. I think the Mallow Cups started it all off...

I was addicted to Mallow Cups in my youth.

It's strange how my candy tastes still parallel those of my youth. Big on Milky Ways ... suspicious of Three Musketeers (no caramel). Used to play getting Communion in church with Necco Wafers (although that ended when I had my First Holy Communion). A fondness for Black Babies which ended completely with political correctness.

Mallow Cups? Were those Cup 'o Gold? I liked/like those.
