I am not sure the best place to begin sharing some vital information but as the party involved does post on this thread, this is where it will unfold. This is the cyber living room where we met & this is where we can begin handling it. Do not want to make anyone except the specified party uncomfortable. It is important that we all understand the ramifications of not merely cyber “oppsys” & minor dropping of information but off purposeful illegal activity.

Miss Marple had this figured out. To keep him quiet he was told to sue CBS. CBS would settle out of court for an undisclosed sum on condition of secrecy.
Miss Marple thinks and I agree that this is a legal way for CBS to pay Burkett off for lying about who the real source is.

Could the real source be Robin Rather? Inquiring minds want to know.

Someone doing something illegal got caught up in the thread ; forgot they were in MY account; & just clumsily posted from my account, while they were busy checking out the Freep mails , pings etc.

There is only one Free Republic member who has had access to my computer & he has the technical knowledge to access my Free Republic account and hack my computer. The wording & person to whom it is addressed in the post make it clear who this person is.

Voyeurism, Cyber-stalking, and Identity theft are not funny – they ARE CRIMINAL

Interesting thing is that the past couple months there have been severe irregularities with my cell phone billing & bank account. To the tune of several thousand dollars. There may be no relationship, but as Gleen Beck says, an interesting coincidence??. The authorities, I believe can sort this out

On a frustrating personal note.. I wonder how many of my Freep mails I did not receive because the account was accessed earlier & notes deleted. I don’t believe anything in my Freep mail is so personal that it couldn’t be posted here. But that should be MY choice.

I usually normally trust people much more than I should..I want to go on trusting. Most people I know and meet are.decent & trustworthy.

I don’t get angry often. But I am angry now.

Ray, what are you going to do to correct this? I tried to be your friend & help you. The admin moderators are notified. I will go through them as I expect you to do to correct this. And no, I will NOT be doing this personally one on one with you because frankly I can’t trust you. I don’t want to do anything to hurt Free Republic nor its good work. It isn’t just an oppsy & lets get busy returning posting about CBS, the polls in Ohio & The Grand Ol Opry.

I treasure the cyber friendships & many personal one on one/ face to face friendships that I have had here at FR but I may find that I will have to close my account and join the ranks of lurkers. Very annoying with elections, Freeping of the candidates in town & the upcoming Freep at the vice presidential debate..

Anyone with some technical knowledge how I can secure my account AND MY COMPUTER from hacking, I would appreciate it. I would like to handle this HERE.

If the responsible party is embarrassed. So be it. As good conservatives, we need to be responsible. This affects all of us here. It truly does.

If this is post deleted / removed and not handled , I will be going to the police later today. I am very serious about this. I don’t want to have the police & FBI crawling around FR.,..My early morning conversation with my attorney confirmed this is the course of action I should take & I would meet with the authorities in his office late afternoon BUT only if we can not handle it here I will be leaving later this morning to take relative to hospital for pacemaker.

The past few years have been very “lean” financially here in Ohiowith the responsibilities & pressures of many older people. I don’t have much in the material sense.. But I do have (or had) my privacy & identity. And yes, I am crying thru the anger.
