Tom Shales just told Chris Mathews that he hopes the Republicans responsible for creating the phony CBS documents are nailed before the election. He said it was unfortunate that Watergate didn't unravel until after Nixon was reelected. I've known this guy was a crackpot for sometime, but this just demonstrates how unhinged him and those like him have become. This is delicious.
Shales is Michael Moore with a shave and without his plumbers crack on display.
Did Mathews let this pass, or did he take Shales up on it?

Shales looks like Michael Moore and Tom Oliphant's Love Child. What an icky, slimy, arrogant gay guy.
I'd have to watch the late replay (I'll be watching Daunte and Randy roll at the time) to be sure, but I believe he was just slightly dismissive without teeing off on Big Tom.
I know a lot of people around here don't like Chris, but I came to like him during Monicagate. I would rather have a beer with him than most on his side of the isle.
