Thru sixth grade, I went to Catholic school with two classes in one room with one nun teaching. I learned to do my assignments without being distracted when the other class was being taught. Also, I learned to stay busy, as we were expected to do classroom chores if we had free time.

It doesn't take a lot of money to educate children, but a knowledgeable and disciplined teacher is necessary...and the nuns were both.
