One of my pistols is in an inside the pants holster at all times I have pants on..Another is in a cabinet in the bathroom...My shotgun during the day is under the pillows on my bed...At night it is along side me on the bed....It is loaded but no round in the chamber...The racking sound is a good deterrent as I've found out 2 times when somebody jimmied my back door....They were long gone by the time I got there....All the above for what it's worth.....

There are bad people in our country. I was just notified that one of my renters went into his home, surprised a gang of burglars and promptly got pistol-whipped as he tried to stop them from stealing his stuff.
