I had an interesting day. It involves a ringing doorbell, my pistol, four calls to 911, a granddaughter and two dumb police officers.

What in the world happen?

I had an interesting day. It involves a ringing doorbell, my pistol, four calls to 911, a granddaughter and two dumb police officers.

Well, it is a long story. Yesterday about 1:00 I was sitting here at the computer when I heard my doorbell ring. I stood up and looked out the window to the front yard and driveway. I saw no car, so I thought it must be some of those Mormons who walk around or else someone putting coupons on door, you know. So, I just sat back down. Then the doorbell rang again and was rung incessantly as if someone just kept their finger on the bell. Then I was alarmed, but I couldn't see who was at my door because my doorway is recessed. The only way I could see was to go to the door which has a glass panel on the side. People always look through when ringing the bell. I couldn't remember if my front door was locked and the person would be able to see me if I approached the door. I was very afraid because, if you remember, we have had several instances of robbers escaping on foot from banks and pharmacies. And I was thinking that whoever was at that door was crazy to just lean on the bell and I could not see a vehicle anywhere in the driveway or parked in the street. So, I just picked up the phone, dialed 911, and told them my situation.

If anyone is interested in hearing the rest, tell me, because I hate to bore folks with a long story.
