She is a beauty, all right.

We really miss our last two cats (that the coyotes got), but because one of the dogs is SO territorial, we won't be able to have anything else join the household while he's with us.

The city has finally received enough pressure, or maybe the mayor's Fluffy got devoured), that they've hired three dudes to "shoot to kill" the coyotes in the city limits - I would have done it for free...now if they will address all the deer that are running amok here.

Coyotes are one reason we don't let the cats out, there's also traffic. We don't have a lot of traffic in our neighborhood, but I've picked enough dead cats out of the street, that I can't bear to do it anymore. And deer - they're just thick here. They ate my newly planted day lillies and impatiens out of the front yard.

I found a recipe to spray them with that seems to work:

2 eggs
2 cups skim milk
2 cups water
2 tsp. spreader sticker (from the garden store)
Mix the stuff together, strain it, and put it in a spray bottle. It really seemed to repel the deer. But you can't keep leftovers - ugh.

I just heard on the radio that our princess first grader is getting to vote today for president, in real voting booths at school. The school is the only one in the area to be selected by some national polling firm.

I am loving it as I know she will vote for President "Boosh" as she calls him.
