Interesting, I'll have to eat more dates and raisins. We have three date palms - so I can pick my own fruit.
When I was growing up bake goods and other treats had a balance between sweet and tart.
now it is over kill every thing is just too damn sweet!
Those interesting spices or not part of the traditional treats!
Ginger, Cinnammon, raisins, prunes etc.
Because of that I stay away from many things for they are not the good stuff I grew up on.
