Thanks for the links on soldiers - I will read everything. It IS very sad for those who have no one. The entire first Persian Gulf War I wrote "any soldier" letters, and adopted soldiers. Now with the state of things, we aren't allowed to write "any soldier" letters anymore (directly to them at any rate). So, I will definitely try your links.

Soldiers never have no one, ever. They have each other, always.

I have been told so many times by so many vets that they do not fight for their country or family when in combat. They fight for their unit. Some of the longest relationships are buddies of war.

I used to talk to vets a lot.

We can adopt a Marine tho BQ!! I did that about a year ago. All I know is his name is John W. I pray for him each morning and his family. I have had two messages of appreciation from the family although I don't know who that is. It is just from "the family". There are still more to adopt tho.
