I must tell you how sad I am for my brother. He was a union man and a yellow dog dem. After 9/11 he admired Bush so much that he said he would vote for him.
Then, his son, who is in the reserves was called up for deployment in Iraq. Now, my nephew had been in the reserve a number of years being promoted to the rank of Sgt. He had actually reenlisted after the war began and has no qualms of going, politically. He told my brother that he had a job to do and would do it as promised. But, my brother has come unglued. He has told other family members that Bush is sending his son to die for nothing. When I visited him on his farm the day after the wedding, I saw that he had taken down the flag from his very tall flagpole in his front yard. He had replaced it with some sort of flag of the Army, the branch of military that DJ serves. And his outside workshop was just plastered with anti-Bush bumper stickers. I didn't see any Kerry/Edward stickers, though.
I am sad because DJ does not need to hear that he might die in vain, especially from his father. Yet, this hatred of President Bush that my brother has is obscuring all his good judgment, I think.

Hello! I'm sorry about the difficulties for your nephew and will say a prayer for him.
