If I can ever get rid of this persistent headache I've had off and on for the past several days, I may hit the blue thingies tonight. (Remind me to tell you about blue thingies sometime). I thought new glasses would help. I just got them yesterday. $315 and so far, I hate them. I can't see out of them without moving my head around like a bobblehead doll to focus.

What do you do?

Sorry to hear about your headache - seeing my chiro regularly has really helped my head too...

My official title is Software Engineer, but I'm a technical writer for a large corporation. I've been doing this for the last four and a half years... prior to that I worked for the Park Service, went to graduate school, then ran my own business. My problem my entire life is that I have such high expectations of others, expect to be treated with respect, and do not handle incompetence well.

All I want to do is do my job, do it well, work very hard... yet I have this uneducated M. Moore lookalike at work who is the "team lead", continually pestering and hounding me like the bully he is. I was polite to him the other day but spoke up and asked why he was asking me the same thing again and why he didn't trust me to complete it. Needless to say, I am the one being summoned by the manager (again). If there were other high-paying jobs down here, especially at a conservative company, I'd jump ship in two minutes. So sick and tired of it. Sorry :(

Have you tried a dental "night-guard?" I used to have the most devine headaches until my dentist fitted me with one of those bad boys.
