Hiya catpuppy.
I've been corresponding with an Italian basketball player/engineer. He lives in Rome, but has a villa in Sardinia. Have you been to Italy? I haven't but Sardinia sure looks beautiful in the photos he's sent. Imagine a tall Italian!
I think I would love Italian food. I try to create Italian style recipes here at home, and my family loves them, but I'll bet tasting real Italian food is a completely different experience.

You've got yourself a great trail for red rovering.

That Cedar River Trail is something else! You are so lucky. Thank you so much for the pictures - water in a river is something I don't see too much of around here. Our riverbeds have dried up - too many people.

He went out and got hisself into a skiff. He still thinks he's tough. He's not. Then he got up under the house and came in all dirty, and apparently sore and not feeling too good. I thought a bath was the appropriate prescription. Obviously, Nermal disagreed.

Note to self: The Italian restaurant was great. The bread and garlicy dipping stuff incredible. The salad as only the Italians can make it. Chicken saltimboca to die for. Great cabernet sauvignon. Wonderful coffee. Why oh why could you not resist the canoli? You'll pay for this. We had Click-fil-A last night

Yes Val, I've been to Italy several times. It is a wonderful country with beautiful scenery and architecture, fantastic food and friendly people. Last night I visited an Italian restaurant where the food was as close to that I had in Italy as is possible. Even though I made a pig of myself, great Italian food is so good and pleasing to the tummy that there was not much penalty for overeating.
