Yeah, this guy seems very experienced. He works at the stables and has helped me out before. He was the one that showed me how to get Okie in the trailer. So, I've thought about that

Most likely I'm going to give her away but I'm thinking about getting back on her before I do. (with the trainer present).

Anyway, I'm not going to make any decisions today. I have a class tonight to train to be a clerk during elections, so nothing horsey until tomorrow:')

Even if you end up having to get rid of her, there is no reason at all she should have to be given away. She still has value, she just needs an experienced rider that will give her some training. And really, it is better to sell her to a knowledgeable person than it is to give her to someone who just sees a free deal. I wouldn't trust a free horse, but I would definately understand a horse that needed an experienced rider for some reason or another. And if you really like her, you also have the option of hiring someone for 30-90 days of training and an evaluation at the end. You could end up with her being good for you, or if not, then at least she will be improved in her marketability to sell.
