I really don't have a lot of trust in people either because I have been let down so many times in my life. I do trust God and myself though and I can only be responsible for so much. This was a hard lesson for me to learn. I used to take on the responsibility for all the what ifs and things that happened that I didn't have control over until it started affecting my health. If I find an animal a home and I find out later it wasn't what I thought, it would make me sad but some chance is better than no chance I guess. Just my philosophy:') It actually happened one time. I gave one of those grown pit bulls to someone and went to check on him and untied him and brought him back and found him another home.
As for the Mustangs... It's not a trust issue really. It's more accountability and the government believing we sheep can't get things done without them. People don't need a government nanny. IMO all these restrictions do is reduce adoptions assuring slaughter (no chances for the horses). Recommendations with reasons great but they should give people a little credit for making things work. Maybe someone has a 50 ft corral instead of 40. Reading all of this red tape sure discouraged me from thinking about it. Yeah, a horse might get hurt or injured but where were they headed anyway. Some making it better than none IMO.
