We feed him out of the pasture and let him graze when we can. You can see the buckets. (He's not the white but the paint). All visible he will readily eat from. You can't see them but the ones going the other way he avoids.

That's a pretty area. Horses have tremendous memories, it's really hard to overcome a back experience. One of the reasons it's so difficult to get horses past being abused or rough handling.
