Oh yeah. It was a real pain in the hinder.

The sad part is, the several places that we went where the gaited crowd liked to go were really nice places to ride; up in the mountains of NC.

A lot of the Ohio Horsman's Council State rides, started to have a "slow" and "fast" ride. This helped the gaited horse people, as well as the others. I am with you, a nice slow ride, is more fun. You are out there for enjoyment, not to see how fast, you can get done. I am toying with getting a gaited horse. Only problem is, everyone I have seen, the rider is holding a tight rein on them. That would not be too enjoyable after a while.

Are you close to Ashville? Biltmore has horse trails. That would be nice to ride at.
